Family Search indexing |
https://indexing.familysearch.org/projtab/current_projects.jsf |
FamilySearch.org informs us that they have seriously stepped up
their ability to convert historic microfilmed records into
digital images. The organization now has 185 crews working
around the world to capture digital images. All this effort
translates into an amazing 10 new digital images of historic
documents being created every second. To help transcribe some of
these images, FamilySearch is looking for some more volunteers.
In particular, they need people who understand Spanish to help
with new projects that have begun for Paraguay, Panama and
Bolivia. In addition they have an ongoing need for
native-English speakers. For example, help is needed with the
1871 UK census and US WWI and WWII draft cards. If you think you
might be interested in helping out with any of the many
FamilySearch projects, we suggest you check the project list
page to see if anything strikes your interest. |
